I am a Ph.D. candidate in Design, Environment and the Arts of Arizona State University. I consider myself as a mixed-methods design researcher, more of a qualitative researcher. My research interests include integrating Co-/Participatory Design into UX Research and User-centered design. In my research projects, I have collaborated with interdisciplinary researchers e.g. from Engineering, Design, Education, Art, Sustainability, etc. Before becoming a design researcher, I was an interior designer in China for two years. I was passionate about providing users/clients with better residences or working environments and experiences. And I really enjoy working with people from diverse disciplines or backgrounds.
I enjoy collaborating with stakeholders in inter/trans-disciplinary teams to inspire evidence-driven design.
I aim to implement Co-design, and Participatory Design through facilitating user-centered design workshops, brainstorming, conducting interviews & surveys, prototyping, and usability testing with stakeholders/users.
I am excited to inspire the evidence-driven design and catalyze positive interaction among designers, users, clients, community members, decision-makers, and any other stakeholders.
